OVERVIEW
Responsible for providing advanced Protected SATCOM systems engineering support for our contribution to the Transitional Approach for Protected MILSATCOM (TAPM) effort. Selected candidate will be responsible for directly contributing to communications: operations and integrations, engineering, help desk support, watch officer and training, as well as cryptographic operations. They will provide Protected SATCOM (e.g., AEHF, EPS/EPS-R, future systems, etc.) expertise in support of system operations, training (onsite and classroom), troubleshooting, anomaly resolution and resource monitoring. They will provide insight and understanding of system users, interface control, payloads, terminals, planning tools, and the like. Selected candidates will provide sound system advice, analysis, trending and resource tracking to ensure the most efficient and effective use of scarce protected SATCOM resources. They will provide operations interface, technical expertise, and system status to government customers and other support contractors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field from an accredited college or university. (One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required experience)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in military or commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM), with a strong preference for experience in Protected Military SATCOM (MILSATCOM) systems.
- Active US Secret security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required.
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado or be willing to relocate to the area.
- Domestic and international travel is required.
- Must be able to support rotating 24/7 on-call responsibilities and occasional on-site surge to support non-standard work schedules.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Applied experience in Protected Military SATCOM (MILSATCOM) systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of EHF user community, mission planning, apportionment/allocation, resource monitoring, and terminal control
- Exhibited knowledge and application of Mission Planning Element/Subsystem (MPE/MPSS)
- Shown expertise with EHF terminal operations desired (e.g., FAB-T, SMART-T, NMT, etc.)
- Displayed experience in software analysis, modeling, and simulation a plus (e.g., SQL, MATLAB, STK, Scripting, etc.)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical and operational knowledge in support of U.S. Space Force Protected Band Consolidated SATCOM Systems Expert (PB C-SSE) and Satellite Operations Center’s (SOC) communications mission
- Provide advanced SATCOM support in Protected SATCOM operations, integrations, engineering, help desk, watch officer and cryptographic areas
- Assist terminal/platform users in resolving system related issues
- Perform operational impact assessments to determine global effects of any Protected SATCOM anomalies
- Provide mission planning, data distribution, training, policy and procedures writing and input, and representation to the EHF management and support communities
- Conduct troubleshooting with system users in communications planning, resource monitoring, terminal image generation, key loading, and terminal operations
- Independently conduct formal and informal training presentations
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary Range: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
